Geokinesis

Controlling earth, rock, metal

Reality checkNo real case; humans can ‘induce’ earthquakes (reservoirs, fluid injection), and China’s 1975 Haicheng prediction is the one widely accepted success — prediction isn’t control.

Human-induced earthquakes

🎓 Academic research
USGS et al. · Koyna India (1967, M6.3) · Oklahoma USA (2009–2016) · 1967–

Reservoir filling and shale-gas wastewater re-injection are confirmed to induce felt quakes; Oklahoma briefly became the most seismically active state in the lower 48.

VerdictHumans can ‘make’ quakes but not control them.

The 1975 Haicheng earthquake prediction

🏛️ Official record
Liaoning provincial seismic authorities, China · China, Haicheng Liaoning · 1975-02-04

Based on foreshocks and animal anomalies, a warning was issued and people evacuated, greatly cutting casualties from the M7.3 quake; the following year’s Tangshan quake wasn’t predicted.

VerdictThe only widely accepted successful earthquake prediction.

Earthquake-light research

🎓 Academic research
USGS · Quebec ministry of mines, Thériault et al. (2014) · Global · 2014

Analysing 65 earthquake-light reports since 1600, proposing that stressed rock releases charge as a possible mechanism.

VerdictA natural phenomenon, unrelated to ‘earth control’.
